Our postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Kevin Schmitz, has been awarded the Till Moritz Karbach Prize of the Faculty of Physics.

A member of our chair, the postdoctoral researcher Dr. Kevin Schmitz, has been awarded the Till Moritz Karbach Prize of the Faculty of Physics. Since 2016, the prize has been given annually for an outstanding dissertation in the field of particle physics or scientific/ high-performance computing.

The prize commemorates Dr. Till Moritz Karbach (1979–2015), who studied, completed his doctorate, and conducted research at TU Dortmund from 2000 to 2012 before continuing his work at CERN. It was endowed by his parents to support early-career researchers. The prize includes 1500 euros.
