This summer, the 38th ICRC (International Comic Rays Conference) took place in Nagoya, Japan. The congress is organised every two years by IUPAP (International Union of Pure and Applied Physics) since 1947. The main topics this year were cosmic-ray physics, gamma-ray astronomy, neutrino astronomy and neutrino physics, dark matter, solar physics and multi-messenger astronomy.

Dr. Maximilian Linhoff, Karolin Hymon, Pascal Gutjahr, Mirco Hünnefeld, Rune Dominik, Jean-Marco Alameddine and Leonora Kardum from our chair participated in the congress. The members of our chair thematised the event-based analysis for the cherenkov telescopes CTA (Cherenkov Telescope Array), the seasonal fluctuations of the atmospheric neutrino flux (detected by the neutrino experiment IceCube), the muon detections at neutrino telescopes, the simulation tool PROPOSAL for high-energy leptons and photons, the exploration of high-energy galactic neutrinos, the angular resolution of IceCube, the interpolation of the instrument response functions of the cherenkov telescopes CTA and the software CORSIKA for simulating extended air showers.

We would like to thank the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) for sponsoring this congress trip.
